Lieut-Colonels commanding the 3rd Battalion of the 56th Regiment

The 3rd Battalion was formed during the later part of the Napoleonic Wars.

The Battalion was mainly made up from Militia Volunteers and saw service in Holland and Belgium before disbanding on 24th October 1814 with the Officers placed on Half Pay.

Lieutenant Colonel John Frederick Brown was the only commander of the Battalion.
