Transfer from Dublin to Crimea 1855

In January 1855 the West Essex were posted to Dublin after a period in the West Indies. Their stay was to last a few months as in August 1855 they were transferred to the war in Crimea in the steam ship Imperatriz sailed by Captain H Knox.
