4th Essex Volunteer Rifles - Rifle Competition 1875
In March 1875 the 4th Essex Volunteer
Rifles held a Rifle Competition at the Chelmsford Rifle Club.
The competition was directed by
Captain Bannister who was assisted by the Regimental Sergeant
Major Peacock.

A special wedding ring competition
was won my Corporal Bedford from Corporal Webb, Lieutenant
Longmore and Corporal Harris.
